Governor vetoes bill curbing his ability to fill Senate seat

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky’s Democratic governor vetoed legislation Monday that would empower Republican leaders to influence his choice to temporarily fill a U.S. Senate seat should a vacancy occur.
