The Pulaski County Fiscal Court continued a trend of steadily lowering the county’s property tax rate on Monday, voting to go down to a rate of 4.3 cents per $100 of assessed property value.

Somerset Independent schools announced that it will be lowering its tax rate for this year – the third year in a row it has done so.

The bodies of the two Pulaski men who went missing while fishing on the Cumberland River have both been located as of Friday morning, after their boat apparently hit a rock wall and sank.

Somerset-Pulaski Rescue Squad officials said that the bodies of two missing fishermen have been found.
